For Jamaican secondary schools

Your transcript template, turned into a tool.

Upload the Word transcript your school already uses. Transcripta fills it in — same crest, same letterhead, same layout — and gives you back a finished document, one student at a time.

CSEC & CAPE grading built in · Your template, not ours

The job it replaces

Transcripts are slow for a reason.

Every leaving student needs one, and every one is assembled by hand from years of term reports. Transcripta does the assembling.

By hand

  • Open the Word template and retype the letterhead details every time
  • Pull five to seven years of term reports from the student’s file
  • Compare Christmas against Summer for every subject, every year, and keep the higher grade
  • Convert CSEC and CAPE results into the school’s pass codes by memory
  • Check the arithmetic on every GPA

With Transcripta

  • School details are already set — they came with your template
  • Enter the grades once, or bring a student in from a saved file
  • The higher of the two terms is chosen for you, subject by subject
  • Pass codes follow the rules your school actually uses
  • GPAs are calculated as you type

How it works

Three steps, and the first one happens once.

Step 01 · once per school

Upload your template

Send in the Word transcript your school already uses, with a few placeholders typed where the student details go. Your crest, letterhead and layout stay exactly as they are.

Step 02 · per student

Enter the grades

Type them in, or load a student you saved earlier. Year GPAs and pass codes update as you go, so mistakes surface while you’re still looking at the page.

Step 03 · per student

Download the Word file

You get a .docx built from your own template — ready to check, sign and print. Nothing about the document says it came from software.

Built for how Jamaican schools actually work

Details that matter locally.

CSEC and CAPE, properly handled

Grades one through five map to your school’s own pass codes, and CAPE units are reported separately from CSEC subjects.

Higher of the two terms

Where a subject was taken in both Christmas and Summer, the better grade is kept — the comparison that eats the most time by hand.

Your grading scale, not a default one

Grade bands, GPA points and pass-code rules are set per school, so the numbers match what your reports already say.

Grades 7 through 13

Including sixth form, transfer students who joined partway through, and repeated years.

More than one template

Schools that use different transcript layouts for different purposes can keep several, each with its own settings.

Works in the browser

Nothing to install, and nothing that has to be kept updated on a school computer.

Worth knowing before you ask

What it doesn’t do.

  • It doesn’t replace your school management system. Transcripta produces transcripts. Attendance, timetabling and report cards stay wherever they already live.
  • It won’t read a photograph of a report card reliably. There is an assistant that can try, and it flags anything it isn’t sure about rather than putting a guess on a transcript — but grades still need a human eye before they’re used.
  • It’s early. Transcripta is in use at one school and is looking for a second. If that’s a problem for you, it’s worth saying so now rather than later.
